Explore Luxor and its sights on a day trip from Hurghada.
We pick you up at your hotel around 5 a.m. and start our 4-hour drive to Luxor.
First you will visit the Temple of Karnak, the largest place of worship that was ever built and if you wish walk through the Avenue of Sphinx, which connects Karnak Tempel with Luxor Tempel
.
Then we drive to the west bank where you can visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahari. You will also enjoy a one-hour felucca ride on the Nile and visit Banana Island.
After a fine lunch in a local restaurant, you will visit the Valley of the Kings. Admire the characters that adorn the rock walls, the hieroglyphics that trace the lives of kings in long stories.
We will then continue to Medinet Habu, the mortuary temple of Ramses III. Before we start our return journey to Hurghada, visit the Colossi of Memnon. These two giant statues, sitting and resting on their huge granite floors, are the landmarks of the west bank.
